What’s my profile page, and what appears on it?
When you create a CrowdPatch account, a profile page is created for you. It displays your profile photo, personal details and links to your personal LinkedIn account. It is also own personal newsfeed, which displays all the posts that you have shared on CrowdPatch.
Your profile can be viewed by other CrowdPatch members, but cannot be found via search engines like Google.
What is my newsfeed?
Your newsfeed helps you keep up to date with all the news from your favourite crowdpatches and projects. You can like and comment on others posts as well as share posts which you think others might find interesting.
I forgot my password, how do I log in?
Click the forgot your password link at the bottom of the sign in page. Enter your email that you signed up with, and you will be able to reset your password.
WHAT IS 'MY CONTRIBUTIONS?'
My Contributions allows you to see the value of the financial contributions you have made to other people's projects, the name of the project and the date on which you made the contribution. When you click on the View Details link more details about the project are displayed: project name, owner's name (as a link to the project owner's profile page), the project's target, the cumulative total of funds, the type of campaign, the project status, and a link to display View Reward Description. When you click on this link a pop-up box is displayed that shows the value and description of the reward that you have purchased.
WHAT IS 'PROJECT CONTRIBUTIONS?'
Project Contributions allows you to see the value of the financial contributions made to the projects you own, the name of and email address of the contributor (unless the contribution is made offline from an anonymous donor), the title of the project, the date on which the contribution was made, and the type of reward claimed. Rows with online contributions display live links for the contributor's name (clicking through to their CrowdPatch personal profile, their email address (clicking through to opening a draft email message to the contributor) and a link to a description and value of the reward the contributor purchased. Every project title displayed is a live link to the project profile page in question.

What is Crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is the collection of financial contributions from a large number of people - ‘the crowd’ - allowing individual project owners to reach target figures to fund their ideas over a defined period of time.

What happens if my project doesn’t reach the funding target?
If you don’t reach your target, you will still receive the funds you raised on CrowdPatch. We offer free crowdfunding so you will receive 100% of the funds you raise.
Do I have to offer a reward to raise funds?
No, but research shows that offering rewards can significantly increase the amount of funds you raise.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY FUNDS?
The easiest way for you to receive funds is through PayPal. You need to add your PayPal email address to your project in order for it to go live. As soon as financial contributions are made to your PayPal account they are available for your to use for your project. Contributions to PayPal can be made by debit card or credit card, too; PayPal takes a transfaction fee for such payments. You can also receive offline contributions paid to your bank account via CHAPS or Bacs or paid in person to you as a cheque or in cash to then be paid into your bank account. You then add the value of offline payments to your project dashboard on the Payment Options page so that the cumulative total of funds increases according towards the target figure. Also assets you receive as gift-in-kind or discounts on market prices are given individual values that you add to your project dashboard on the Payment Options page in the same way as for offline payments. These assets also therefore increase the cumulative total of funds bring your project closer to its financial target.
How can I find projects to support?
Go to the Discover Projects page and search for projects either by their name. You can also search for projects within a mile radius of a specific postcode. Therefore, if you live in Birmingham, you can easily find projects within 50 miles of Birmingham to support. You also have the option to search for the latest or most invested projects, or projects that are ending soon. Finally you can search for projects depending on what category they fall into, e.g. NGOs and charities.
How do I contribute to a project?
Just click the green “Contribute Now” button on any project page. You will be asked to enter the amount and select a reward tier. You will then be re-directed to PayPal and be able to pay either directly from your PayPal account or by debit or credit card. To contribute towards any project, you'll need to have and be logged in to a CrowdPatch account.
How will my contribution be acknowledged?
Your name will be added to the list of project contributors on the project page, along with the amount you contributed. The creator will also get a message letting them know you’re supporting their project, and the reward you have chosen.
How do I regularly receive emails on how a project is doing?
Click the ‘Follow this project’ button to receive email alerts when the project is updated. This feature is only available to CrowdPatch members.
What do I do if I have a question about the project?
If you are a CrowdPatch member, you can use the Q&A function on the project page. The project owner will be notified and your question and answer will be published.
How will project creators get my info to deliver rewards?
If you have chosen a tangible reward, then you will have to give your delivery address before you can contribute. The project owner will be notified of this and they are responsible for delivering the reward at the end of the project.
Will I definitely receive my reward?
It is the project owner’s responsibility to deliver the rewards to their contributors. If the project doesn’t reach it’s funding target, the project owner can decide whether or not they will distribute their rewards. In this case, the project owner will contact their contributors to inform them of their decision.
